In a survey of 163,000 participants from 14 European countries, it was found that 85 percent of those who go to church at least once a week are very satisfied with their lives, compared to 77 percent of those who never go to church. (Inglehart 1990). This study shows the positive, but moderate effect of going to church on satisfaction and happiness in life.
In a research whose statistical population was Iranians living in America, the correlation between religiosity and psychological components (satisfaction, contentment and absence of depression) was investigated, and out of 201 people of this statistical population, a positive and significant correlation was found between satisfaction and satisfaction with religiosity. was achieved
