Parents should expose the book to the child at the same time that he starts walking and talking. The child should witness family members reading, so that the sense of curiosity and desire to go to the book arises in him. One of the first things that can be done at home is to make it important for all family members to read books.

Humans are curious throughout their lives and want to gain more knowledge about themselves, others, the environment, and ideas and thoughts, and studying is one of the ways to realize this ideal, and reading is considered a subset of studying. Reading motivations can be different. Learning, gaining information and being informed and enjoying are the most important of these motivations.
