Sometimes we use these sentences while arguing with our spouse:
I do everything, you will not be satisfied.
You don’t see the good things I do.
You couldn’t make me happy at all.
You made my life hell.
No more is expected from you.
These sentences, especially using the adverbs always, never, at all, etc., make the conflict with your spouse more intense.
Solution: I know you are tired (mental fatigue wears a person down much more than physical fatigue). Please sit down, I will prepare some tea and let’s drink together.
Try to find out exactly what your wife’s complaint is about, instead of being defensive.
